IIRC, there is an aftermarket pan available which the drain plug is relocated and is one that you can pull. So I understand the strength differences in the 2 trans, but I think the 4L60E will be just fine for me. swap the 94 internal harness into 95 and 96 transmission They tranny wires from my truck have a round plug, and the new 700r4 has a square … it has a 4l60e. 3 bellhousing also leaves a bolt out at the 12 oclock position. ![]() The 4L60E is electronically-controlled and includes rear-wheel driving.
